Essential Encaustic: How to Paint with Wax In this class we will touch on the history of encaustic while making our own 6”x6” masterpieces (more than one!) with encaustic medium and paints. We’ll explore various ways to prep boards, adjusting the opacity of the wax, adding texture, digging in to reveal or to fill, adding on, fusing techniques and so much more. You will have a few things to bring — you either already have most or can easily gather — and then we will get busy melting and painting. No experience necessary other than a willingness to learn and get waxy.

Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of the Intensive Course start date, will receive a full refund, less the 20% non-refundable studio fee. Cancellations made within 14 days of the Intensive Course start date are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to a friend.
