Mixed Media: Blooms and Flowers In this fun and creative mixed media class, you’ll make a bird-themed artwork by layering painted and specialty papers using collage techniques. The focus will be on using different textures, colors, and patterns to build a dynamic composition centered around birds. You'll start by creating your own hand-painted papers using a variety of tools, colors, and mark-making techniques. We'll also explore how to work with specialty papers—such as printed or textured sheets—to add visual interest. Then, you'll use these papers to build up your artwork, layering shapes and details to form your bird and its surroundings. We'll go over tips for arranging, cutting, and gluing your papers in a way that creates depth and balance. This class is open to all experience levels. You’ll receive step-by-step instruction and personal feedback as you work on your piece.
